Alla Aranovskaya is Professor at the Wichita State University (USA) and her Quartet - she is the founder of Saint Petersburg String Quartet- got the position of Quartet in Residence. She also is the Director of the St. Petersburg International Music Academy

Alla Aranovskaya, born in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad), Russia, started to play the violin at the age of six. She graduated the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College in 1977 and, 1985 the St. Petersburg Conservatory, receiving a Master degree in 1987 and a Doctor of Music in 1989.

She was the student of Prof. V. Ovcharek, who was the First Violinist of one of the greatest Russia String Quartet " Taneev String Quartet", who used to work with D. Shostakovich personally

Alla Aranovskaya was a winner of the All-Russa Solo Violin Competition in 1985

Her solo appearances include St. Petersburg State Capella Orchestra, Kazan Philharmonic, Moldova National Orchestra, Ulyanivsk Philharmonic etc.

		From 1987-2001 she was a Professor of Violin at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Russia. Alla Aranovskaya was a faculty member of the Oberlin Conservatory from 1997 to 2003 and jury member of several major competitions including the 2004 Melbourne, Australia International Chamber Music Competition
		Alla Aranovskaya supports humanitarian activities of Lions Club Vienna MozART.
